@DrRoundglasses@Barb_Drummond Maybe, if three quarters of the population got off their apathetic backsides and created a party with a viable solution to their problems, they might find that things actually could get better.
@IanDunt That's so unfair. Normally I have to tactically vote Labour to keep out the Tory. This time I was free to vote for a party that puts the environment first, in the hope that it would register support for these issues and counteract the Reform narrative. No way was it anti-labour.
@stubo37@SlowWaysUK@RamblersGB@Love2WalkWales A great, relatively unexplored area for walking. I led @CardiffRamblers from Maesteg to Tondu last January. Would be interested in your June walk, but can't find anything on Google. Will the details be advertised anywhere?
@ABLPoli You can't read anything into the 4 results in Wales. The same 4 parties in each - no Greens, no Reform, no independents. Turnout under 20% everywhere. The party faithful voted with the expected result, nobody else bothered.
@GreenJennyJones I'm totally with you on the issue of river pollution but you can't blame foreign investors for the trouble with Welsh Water / Dwr Cymru which has no shareholders and is run as a not-for-profit company.
Two articles in today's Western Mail: one notes that sewage in open waters has doubled. The other wants people to take part in a study into the benefits of swimming in open waters. Any volunteers?
@laurenj04544755 If you're a state pensioner with no other income and you've transferred your allowance to your spouse, then from April your pension will be taxed.
@JamesDAustin As a pensioner myself (albeit more Corbyn than Sunak), I am far more p**ed off by the state of the NHS than by any lack of tax cuts. The elderly need more care, doctors and hospital than the young and Labour could easily get their vote if they promised to fix it.
