LLM engineered carbon capture enzymes have officially been produced.

The best designs were 170% more active and 25% more stable across extreme pH (Tm +8.5 C).

Winning strategies include adapting a tag from a bacterial carbonic anhydrase, beta barrel core packing, and removing acidic residues.

Current focus is on translation to large scale field tests. Open sourcing all sequences and results.

@Drowlord101 @johncardillo Yes, I agree that insurance is a poor fit for healthcare distribution. Still unclear on where you see the deceit coming in. Who is lying to whom about what? The idea of pooling resources to help out those in need seems like a basic human activity, but maybe I'm missing something.

I agree that ins. is a poor fit for HC. M4A would make these issues irrelevant. I'm happy to contribute to anyone's medical treatment.

@Drowlord101 @johncardillo Before ACA, you could be denied coverage because of "pre-existing" conditions. Some people didn't think that was right. Plans are cheap when the pool is healthy. You can make a different judgment, but there's an honest and informed reason to defend it, even if it is flawed.

@SteveRattner The ACA is flawed and basically delivers us all into the maw of insurance companies, but it used to be legal for insurance companies to outright deny insurance to those with pre-existing conditions. let's not throw the baby out w/ the bathwater unless we're trading up to M4A

@chapnilem @kareem_carr BTW, the government doesnt just send harvard money, professors write grants that are reviewed, and then research contracts are awarded in a competitive process reviewed by non-harvard experts. the gov does this because universities have the facilities and labor. hope that helps.
