When I was in my mid-20s, I worked for 3 Years at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s most “principled” Hedge Fund. I had some good experiences and some bad, but one big takeaway is that there is a ton of value to sharing your own principles.
@FaheemSiddiqi On the CX side, they literally bought @kustomer last year. So all ready to go.. at this point not really clear why they acquired a CX platform.
Studying people like Musk, Bezos, Gates, etc fills us with survivorship bias. Although very inspiring it can also be misleading.
Instead of studying billionaires, it's much more useful to study people like you who are 2 years ahead of you.
A few examples below:
@contraben@ShaanVP@contra So checked it out and seems cool, but how do I actually see people’s profiles to potentially hire? Maybe I’m just being thick but it’s not intuitive to me on mobile..
@NickPrijic@eliweisss Whoa- 75 agents in house. Nice work! If you’re open to it, happy to have you trial a few agents for a month from my team for free. Could join in your next training class. Shoot me a DM if you’re interested.
@eliweisss@JeremiahPrummer Yeah I actually agree with this too. Early on, you don’t know how to handle everything, so how can someone outsourced figure it out? We generally only start working with companies that have at least 1 FT CX rep in house. Need that clear and available escalation point.
@eliweisss I get it- there’s a lot of bad outsourcing companies out there. We do all engagements month to month so if it’s not working, company can move on. Most companies we talk to figure it’s worth a try and then find their new agents do AWESOME work. And then we scale up with them!
@eliweisss The customers that we’re helping aren’t less important. We’re just able to help them with SOP which means we can make sure their treated the same as they would be if the internal team handled. And bringing us on typically substantially improved reply times.
To be fair NYT data team has tried to do this, but has ended up with something pretty weak at this point. Anyone seen anything out there that does this well?
In the latest Shit you don’t learn in school podcast, @stephsmithio dives into tail risks and how it effects our lives. Got me thinking- who wants to create a good, dynamic website to measure a person’s tail risk of COVID?
