WOW that second paragraph. 💯💯💯

[Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez @AOC]

There is absolutely no room in this country or world for antisemitism. It is important to see how harmful + dangerous Kanye’s words are - not only to our Jewish brothers, sisters, & siblings, but also to our collective society at large.

We must reject this 🚮 wherever we see it.

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

@despair I think the distinction here is that once people have shared the news, they have publicly affiliated themselves with it and there is much greater dissonance involved in backing down than there is in an initial decision to perhaps not share the “news” after all.

[Amber Briggle (she/they) @mrsbriggle]

Mark my words: more children will die from this. And it won't be just trans kids who die by suicide from being told they don't belong anywhere. It will be the most vulnerable children already in CPS custody, who will die from *actual* abuse and neglect.

@Save_the_Poors @stepville Although most grocery stores I’ve seen now allow SNAP/food stamps at self checkout, I think that is often still not the case for WIC and so people end up forced into the cashier checkout lanes with that.

The image taken by the JWST compared to one taken by Hubble, of the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723.
It's s a gravitational lens, showing us the light of galaxies that are far behind the cluster in arcs around it. I tried to orient them the same. LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE.

@katypearce We got the same letter for Z!

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

They then referred me to another hotel in town, saying it accepted cats — but it does not. After much help from @despair, finally landed a reservation with another chain.

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

Despite stating that I was traveling with cats when making reservations for our cross country move and following La Quinta’s @LQ policy, they called just before check in to say they were cancelling our stay b/c despite what their site says, they don’t allow cats. @WyndhamHotels

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

I had carefully checked their policy before making the reservation — it explicitly allows cats and gives a list of hotels that have addition restrictions, and this location was not on it. https://t.co/aJ8pLxwUxz

This is my daughter. She just turned 9.

Here is why I would never allow her to play middle or high school sports if we lived in Ohio…

[Oleksandra Povoroznyk 🇺🇦 @rynkrynk]

Since it’s Pride month, let’s talk about LGBTQ+ rights in the Soviet Union, because I’m honestly getting tired of ill-informed teenagers in hammer and sickle t-shirts acting like it was some kind of egalitarian utopia and not an authoritarian repression machine.

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

@despair Right? I am confused as to how this is surprising. That is, after all, how users like me "pay" for the service, and we each get to decide whether that price is something we are up for.

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

@AmericanAir Thanks, it has now been fixed. :)

[Tatiana Prowell, MD @tmprowell]

The fact that the airlines made a corporate decision to drop masks w/o warning—any airline could’ve chosen to give crew/passengers hrs or days of notice—disgusts me. For an industry that prides itself on safety, this is a fail.

💡A tip I learned as an early PhD student💡As you read studies that publish measures or create surveys where you've gone out and found survey measures, compile them into an easy to use repository or file. I have a measures codebook that saves so much time when I create surveys!📈

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

@katypearce Mind is blown. Truly.

[Miki Garrison @mikigarrison]

@katypearce How do you hook it up in the shower?
