It doesn’t make sense that the same thing would happen twice otherwise.

I think the current vaccines are not great; the fact that they are not as effective as people imagine a vaccine should be seems the cause of a lot of it. They do “work” by all accounts, like 1/4 death rate, they just aren’t 100% like some people imagine they should.

@graeme_innes @NHSuk You being vaccinated was never supposed to prevent you from catching it. It reduces how long you have it for and the chance of serious illness though.
