Time for @nsitharaman & @nitin_gadkari ji to go now and serve their respective homes.
The FM played a dirty game with millenials with the new regime, surcharge, ltcg, cess, tax on pf & nps. This generation can't be fool.
Make meaningful reforms. Leave the leech mentality.
Just remember this 📌
STT was introduced in 2004 when LTCG tax on equities was removed. In 2018, LTCG tax came back, but STT continued.
Today, investors pay both taxes together.
Most countries have LTCG tax in some form.
But taxing every transaction adds extra friction to the market.
An Investor Asked FM Nirmala Sitharaman Ji
When I Place a trade, I Pay
GST
STT
Stamp Duty
LTCG/STCG & other charges.
When I Buy a house in Mumbai with the same white money, I Pay, GST, 11% Stamp Duty & Several other charges
Govt earns more than the broker. We take all the risk & govt is the sleeping partner.
FM's Nirmala Sitharaman Ji reply
A sleeping partner cannot answer sitting here.
Is this justified?
Sir, this is the condition of Millers Road today.
The entire pavement has been completely encroached upon by two-wheelers, forcing pedestrians onto the carriageway while the High Grounds Traffic Police continue to look the other way.
This is no longer an isolated violation. It is organized, systematic encroachment that is being openly allowed to flourish. Day after day, the same illegal parking continues without penalties, towing, or enforcement. The only conclusion the public can reasonably draw is that there is institutional complicity or a shocking failure of enforcement.
If the law can be enforced against ordinary citizens, why does this stretch of Millers Road appear to enjoy complete immunity? Who is protecting these violators, and why?
Millers Road has become a textbook example of unchecked illegal parking, pavement encroachment, and total administrative failure. Pedestrians, including senior citizens, children, and persons with disabilities are forced to risk their lives because the footpaths have effectively been surrendered to vehicles.
The road doesn’t just need to be cleaned up. The functioning of the High Grounds Traffic Police deserves serious scrutiny. The complete absence of enforcement has destroyed public confidence and raises grave questions about accountability and integrity within the department.
This is beyond unacceptable. Beyond reprehensible. Citizens deserve roads governed by the rule of law, not by indifference.
@highgroundtrfps is completely responsible for this obscene and gross violation of law.
