With the low rates of awareness and engagement we observed, requiring user awareness may not be a viable primary solution to keeping users safe. Our findings highlight the importance of ensuring user safety without relying on user awareness and education.

After reading about an incident, users were more likely to try to learn more it if the content on the webpage was written with a positive sentiment, i.e., written constructively with advice rather than emphasizing the alarming implications of the incident.

Even though my first time attending #SIGCSE2021 has been virtual this week, I've really enjoyed it! I've learned a lot from the different kinds of sessions and from hearing about interesting research. I never thought I'd get to meet so many people who also love teaching at once!
