Leo XIV omits mention of Christ at Assisi, says ‘peace’ must be man’s ‘guiding star’
The Pontiff spoke as though all world religions are equally legitimate while not once mentioning the name of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, or the Blessed Virgin Mary.

I need certain people to stop overhyping every single film they watch. How is anyone supposed to trust your opinion when every tweet makes it sound like you just saw the next Godfather? I love when people get excited about movies, but when everything is remarkable, masterful or a tour de force, the praise quickly loses its meaning. This constant hyperbole is doing more harm than good.
Studios fostered this with influencers, and the data shows it doesn’t work. The “always positive” creators will never offer criticism, because studios stop inviting the ones who do. Over the last decade it spiraled out of control, and now studios are paying for it. The Odyssey avoided the approach entirely, and I think most studios should and will follow. Lucasfilm (Star Wars) and the DCU ran two of the biggest influencer campaigns, and neither moved the needle. In both cases it hurt the product.
I have long recommended that studios scrap these programs and purge their social media managers as well. Use the savings to build better marketing campaigns because the general audience really doesn’t listen to the “always positive” influencer.
Regular reminder that The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is set during WWII when Turkish Delight would have been impossible to acquire in England because A) it requires too much sugar to feasibly make during rationing and B) no one is importing foreign sweets during the war.
It's not candied cocaine or anything, it just happens to be something Edmund likes and can no longer get.
Which makes the point of him trading his siblings for sweets (albeit ones enchanted by a witch) more salient, because sin and evil are banal like that.
@sqsehrish You want people to say that "What" is the name of the 5th child. However, because the last line is posed as a question, the trick doesn't quite work.
He’s saying St Pius V and St Pius X weren’t “pro-life” which says it all really.
We really do have different religions. I’m from the old school, from the old religion, the same as St Pius V and St Pius X and want nothing to do with their new doctrine.
