It was 1976 when George Harrison of The Beatles and Paul Simon took the stage together at Saturday Night Live.

The song was born in 1964 when Paul Simon wrote it after coming back to England. Here in this performance, Harrison and Simon grabs their acoustics and perform the song together.

Such a great, live, and beautiful footage of legends.

Please enjoy.

Paul Robeson was born on this day in 1898. A committed socialist, he made a point of singing to workers wherever he traveled — here he is reciting "Joe Hill" to miners in Scotland during a visit in 1949.
