The key word here is “12 militants”. How many more militants are still undercover? And the meira paibis who are noble women as they define are leading them to create havoc in kuki-zo villages.

You question the central govt about not resolving the issue yet you support these group of women who obstruct the armies from carrying out their duties.
There is 50+ days of non stop violence because your meitei militants are not adhering to peace and initiating attacks at kuki-zo villages who are again aided by the meira paibis.

Also armies do not take sides.. they were mere spectators even as the kuki-zo houses were being torched and the people were tortured because they did not have the order from the state govt to act. If at all anyone is taking sides its the state police,cdos and the state govt joining hands with your meitei militants.

Burning a mother and her 7yr old child and a friend inside an ambulance-The barbarity India is witnessing now in Manipur had not witnessed since 2002 Gujarat!

Look at the father😭 I can clearly feel the anguish in his voice, after all the trauma and tragedy he’s gone through. Till today God almighty gives him the strength to express his agony to the world. Invariably painful, unstoppable tears, irreplaceable loss, unforgettable events. This pain is just beyond comprehension😭. Can the father forgive himself for not be able to save his own child and wife? How long will he suffer this pain?

Wonder why India government isnt even curious, well Modi & his lobbies take good care of political-creed worldwide & weigh them in Gold. Because they can't sell weapons/send troops

The Meira Paibis gang are responsible for this who claimed to protect women and children and who actually should be protecting them. This gang should be dealt with seriously and no one should be spared. I wonder if these women have families of their own! Will they be happy if we burn them alive?

It's disheartening to witness the atrocities happening in Manipur. It's high time we raise our voices against these human rights violations and demand justice. The world needs to pay attention and take action to stop the violence.

Burning a living person to death is a horrible act which causes excruciating pain to the victims and their bereaved families.

"Wouldn't wish this on my Worst Enemy" - The Father of the 7 yrs old child burnt alive in an Ambulance along with his mother and aunt laments.

This would come under the rarest of rare crimes in the world.

If this doesn't shake you up and help the father's quest for Justice for his family, don't know if we can call ourselves humane!

Our forefathers were freedom fighters since World War 1.
Zomi-Kuki tribes played an active role in historic events of the 19th and 20th century in Manipur.

Records state, "they are naturally more courageous and better soldiers than the Manipuris," and around 700 Kuki irregulars were enlisted alongside regular state troops. Ethnic Zomi-Kuki tribes were recruited in the Manipuri army to subdue non-tribal villages that failed to pay tribute to the Manipuri rulers. They also played vital roles during the Lushai expedition of 1870, the seize and relief of Kohima in 1878 led by Col Johnstone, and the defeat of Manipuri army at the hands of Kamhau/Suktes during the reign of Rajah Chandrakriti, known as Ngameingam by the Thadou.

Sir James Johnstone, the political agent at the time, had a strong rapport with the Zomi-Kuki tribes and settled thousands of fierce Zomi-Kuki as peaceful subjects of Manipur. Zomi-Kuki settlements were strategically placed on exposed frontiers, serving as a barrier against raids from the Angami Nagas. British officers recognized the Zomi-Kuki tribes as courageous men, employing them to protect British subjects in Cachar from Angami Naga and Lushai warrior raids.

During Johnstone's time, the Manipur army consisted of around 5,000 men with an additional 1,000 to 1,200 Zomi-Kuki irregulars, and they played a significant role in rescuing the British garrison at Kohima in November 1878.

In the Naga Hills expedition, Lt. Col Johnstone's Zomi-Kuki levies launched an attack on Phesama, killing 200 enemies but suffering considerable losses themselves. Surprisingly, the Manipuri army had no other major operations in this war, serving primarily as coolies and suppliers.

These historical accounts demonstrate the invaluable contributions and bravery of the Kuki community. We demand recognition and respect for our rich heritage and call for unity among all communities in Manipur.
