@MarkCHealey Yes, cause he’ll have to with a floor. And the cap at the top end makes it even the slightest bit possible for us to keep Skenes and actually build something. There’s no chance as it is now

@TJStats @GermanYinzer99 @IMukima If there’s a floor with no cap, the Pirates still get outbid for the Tuckers of the world by the Dodgers, it just inflates aav of the middle class B-Tier guys that get signed anyway so teams make it to the floor. Doesn’t really help the competitive balance to me.

@Eternal_Kernal @BNightengale Not to mention that, of those 11 teams increasing salary to reach the floor, it’s virtually impossible to imagine that some of them won’t spend above that, further eating into the 17mil net negative for the current proposal.

@Ghitelman @chjulian1 Baseball has 0 tanking problem because they call those teams sellers instead. They don’t tank but they trade all their good players for prospects. Plus MLB drafts are filled with 1st rd dudes who never even make it to the bigs so why tank? Nothing to do with a salary cap.
