[WhatsApp @WhatsApp]

Your WhatsApp messages are private. We use the open-source Signal protocol to encrypt them.

• Encryption happens on your device
• Messages are encrypted before leaving your device
• Only the intended recipient has the keys to decrypt messages
• The message encryption keys are not accessible to WhatsApp or Meta

Any claims to the contrary are false.

Platforming controversial creators isn't the problem.

Platforming someone can just as easily hurt them as help them.

Deplatforming is a tactic of the uninformed.

[Minds💡 @minds]

The natural inclination of AI companies is for more surveillance because it's more data, but the ones that offer privacy and transparency will win the war and be on the right side of history.

Non-AWS customers when AWS goes down: Haha AWS is down but we aren't down so you can trust us more

AWS customers when other clouds go down: Haha Google/Oracle/Microsoft/etc. are down but we aren't down so you can trust us more

And the cycle continues into eternity...

OpenAI/Meta: hold my beer how about a purely deepfake AI video tiktok clone copyright nightmare with no human content

[Andrew Curran @AndrewCurran_]

Wired is reporting that OpenAI is preparing to launch a stand-alone social media app for Sora 2. The app is a vertical video feed with swipe-to-scroll navigation, just like TikTok, except the content of this app is 100% AI-generated.
