For those going home to visit family this weekend:
• Samsung calls it Auto Motion Plus
• LG calls it TruMotion
• Sony calls it Motionflow
• Roku calls it Action Smoothing
• Google TV calls it Motion Enhancement

@tekbog interviewed a "senior python developer" yesterday
when asked about virtual environments he says "I kind of just gave up on them"
which, like, isn't a great response for a senior python developer, but also, like, I get it
@kellogh You think too highly of me. I am surrounded by so many smart folks doing wildly cool things - just trying to do some small infra things here and there :)
Had a fun crossover between real life and distributed systems failing me. Booked a hotel using Cash + Point using @IHGhotels - card charged and points removed from account but no reservation. Activity in account shows the transactions but no reservation. Computers are bad.
A new hire wrote this in their onboarding blurb:
"For the Gen Z in the team: tl;dr; just bussin fr fr no cap."
And I don't have a fucking clue what that means.
Few things are more upsetting to me than pulling another team's project and being unable to build it because they haven't modeled their dependencies correctly.
