Well, here's a different driver who Jews refuse to use for his driving services — because they fear he wants to end them.

Are you okay with drivers who represent Uber, also representing FREE PALESTINE?

@YSzlak, président-directeur général de la Fédération CJA, a pu faire la déclaration suivante :

Ce matin, des manifestants radicaux pro-Hamas ont perturbé le campus du centre-ville de l'Université Concordia, en prenant le contrôle, bien que brièvement, en vandalisant un bâtiment et en forçant les étudiants et le personnel à se mettre à l'abri. La situation devient incontrôlable.

La semaine dernière, le président Carr a témoigné lors des audiences du Comité permanent sur la justice de la montée de l'antisémitisme sur le campus de Concordia. La journée d'aujourd'hui a prouvé que cette tendance n'est pas près de s'arrêter. Cet acte d'intimidation contre l'Université et ses étudiants, juifs et non juifs, ne doit pas rester impuni. Même si les manifestants étaient masqués, les responsables de l'université savent parfaitement à qui ils ont affaire.

L'absence d'action décisive de la part de la direction de Concordia a favorisé une atmosphère dans laquelle la haine des Juifs est normalisée et l'antisémitisme omniprésent. Personne ne devrait être choqué de savoir pourquoi nous en sommes arrivés là. Manque de leadership.

Ce matin, des radicaux masqués ont manipulé la cause palestinienne pour diffuser leur message d'anarchie et de haine des Juifs. Une fois de plus, ceux qui glorifient le terrorisme s'en sont tirés avec leurs actes destructeurs et nuisibles, et une fois de plus, notre communauté doit affronter une nouvelle semaine dans la peur. C'est un scandale.

Alors que le campement de McGill continue d'agir comme un aimant pour l'antisémitisme et que les brutes de l'UQAM se livrent à un comportement encore plus hostile, les autorités doivent sévir contre ces criminels. Il est grand temps de rétablir la sécurité et l'ordre sur le campus. Trop c'est trop !

Federation CJA and the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) are outraged by yet another hateful and violent demonstration on a Montreal university campus, Concordia, today, June 3, 2024.

Yair Szlak, President and CEO of Federation CJA, made the following statement:

This morning, radical pro-Hamas demonstrators disrupted Concordia University's downtown campus, taking over, albeit briefly, vandalizing a building, and forcing a shelter in place. This is has gotten out of hand.

Last week, President Carr testified at the Justice committee hearings about the rise of antisemitism on Concordia's campus. Today proved that this trend is not about to stop. This act of intimidation against the University and its students, both Jewish and non-Jewish, must not go unpunished. Even if the protesters were masked, university officials are well aware of who they are dealing with.

The lack of decisive action by university leadership has fostered an atmosphere where Jewish hate is normalized and antisemitism is pervasive. No one should be shocked as to why we got here. Lack of leadership.

Eta Yudin, CIJA Vice-President Quebec, issued the following statement :

This morning, masked radicals manipulated the Palestinian cause to spread their message of anarchy and Jew-hatred. Once again, those who glorify terrorism have gotten away with their destructive and harmful acts, and once again our community must face another week in fear. This is an outrage.

While the McGill encampment continues to act as a magnet for antisemitism and the bullies at UQAM are engaging in even more hostile behaviour, authorities must crack down on these criminals. It is long past time that safety and order are restored on campus. Enough is enough!
