@TMFScottP@SaulEslake@ChrisEconomist So in your view is it a because they lack the will or the political climate is less permissive to some level of austerity?
@TMFScottP I don’t think it’s largesse to those that are on the giving side. More like soft power! It’s compromising. How can we trust the political folks to regulate the generous at the risk of losing those nice things?
@TMFScottP@AvidCommentator Haven’t we relied on population growth to prop up the economy in recent years? It all sounds like we woke one morning and there wasn’t enough services, houses etc. I think the question should be why are gvts no longer tackling major problems but just tinkering on the margins
@NicholasPirbus The problem with the whole thing is the united scenario. Glazers will leave with at least nothing but the club will be saddled with the debts and fines.
@TMFScottP@Maxlittlefriend That seems to be the closest thing to politicians being held to account. I know it’s probably being called many things including partisan but it’s the closest thing to “who dun it” we’ll get.
@FlexTawe@NicholasPirbus our boy going to @AlNassrFC_EN now, sort of proves point no big teams wanted him. Wouldn’t it have been better he ate a bit of humble pie and stayed?
