@JonnyThePhoenix@Hontas_Farmer@Erdayastronaut Strength matters, but past a threshold more isn’t necessarily better. Same with whatever other stats you’re gonna bring up. In elite selection processes the “intangibles” often decide the success of an applicant.
@JonnyThePhoenix@Hontas_Farmer@Erdayastronaut Also buddy has “If I can’t say something original, then what’s the point?” In his bio yet recycles the same unoriginal thoughts of a cohort that fights against a straw man of a perceived ideology. Yikes
@JonnyThePhoenix@Hontas_Farmer@Erdayastronaut Dude, who the fuck are you talking to? I haven’t been selected because I’m not in the selection pool. I never said that there are no physical or psychological differences between men and women. Is anyone that pushes back against your claim a “crazy leftist”?
@JonnyThePhoenix@Hontas_Farmer@Erdayastronaut You’re fighting a straw man. Can women not handle the G’s they’ll be subjected to? What is the gender of the American with the most time in space? You’re just deciding that women are less capable.
@CyberSokrates@ReznovRulz Are you missing the point that the percentage of the population defining the majority of the votes dictates the outcome of the hypothetical?
@notadampaul@FoxieNow@BaldingsWorld Fair, though you might be surprised at how few people could muster a 16 second 100. I was floored to hear how many people weren’t even capable of leaving the ground when they jump
@notadampaul@FoxieNow@BaldingsWorld Point being, even being mildly competent in almost any domain puts you in quite a high percentile in regards to the general population. Arguments can be made about the skew of the makeup of the subset of individuals on X, but the point generally stands
@notadampaul@FoxieNow@BaldingsWorld You’re misunderstand the scope of who is reading this. That 100m time is in the 99th percentile of the general population, even if it’s in the 95th percentile of your school, and maybe 70th percentile for the athletes, and 1st percentile for varsity sprinters
@xCheeseDev@zandpreme@ImLunaHey Singular experience (and ill defined. OS dislikes vs legitimate hardware/software issues are quite different) + Pre M1 era MacBooks were much worse in comparison anyway
@xCheeseDev@zandpreme@ImLunaHey That’s just simply not true. The way things operate, the feel of the OS, perceived build quality, integration, all important. It’s not strictly lazy consumerism, and there are instances in everyone’s lives where they don’t opt for something solely because it’s cheaper.
@PnwWapiti@AdamFrank4 I think you might be misunderstanding his point. There would be no “prov(ing) to you these beings exist..1000%” without some physical, reproducible evidence that can be vetted by multiple parties. To that end, claims that someone has that aren’t the same as providing that.
