met @theo at demo day - he sent us to his cracked friend for a sniff test
spoke to him for an hour on the future of knowledge graphs and literal AI cloning - he dropped out of a PhD in the field
now we have a gc with Theo’s friend who’s helping us rethink our architecture
thanks for the $$ and the tech support Theo :)
man I love yc
📅 @Iriscalv0 is unified personal assistant can connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, Maps, and more to understand what you're working on, who you're meeting, and where you need to be. Turn your logistics on autopilot!
One of the more beautifully design apps I've seen. Get it on iOS and Android: https://t.co/uYLLOqT83O
- Deep integrations with Gmail, Calendar, and Maps APIs
- A hybrid reasoning engine that blends deterministic logic with LLM-based understanding
- Per-user neural models (inspired by early Siri) that adapt to each user’s preferences and routines
- Built in React Native with real-time streaming orchestration
@pioneer_fund is super excited to back @sidnlad and @Sampear_12 on their journey.
Iris is one of @ycombinator’s top 100 Consumer Startups!
Seeing @Iriscalv0 next to companies like Airbnb, Reddit, DoorDash, Instacart etc is unreal.
Two months ago, we were reading old Siri research papers, trying to prove a simple idea - that the next wave of AI assistants will be built on determinism, indexed memory, and per-user intent, not just prompts.
We’re still early, but we will build the future of personal AI. Stay tuned :)
@arulPrak_@ycombinator Appreciate you giving Iris a try! We’re still early and pushing updates daily but conversations dropping midway definitely shouldn’t happen. If you’re open to it, we’d love a quick chat to learn exactly what broke so we can fix it asap!
Iris (@Iriscalv0) is a personal assistant built right into your calendar and inbox.
It connects with all your context, so you can hand off the busywork of scheduling, replying, and organizing your day.

To reinvent the future, you must deeply understand the past.
We’re still early, but Iris will be extraordinary. It may take some time, but we will deliver the future.
Stay tuned.
Flying to San Diego rn to grab lunch with Adam Cheyer (mind behind Siri & Viv) to talk about how we can make Iris the last assistant anyone ever needs.
The future of technology almost always lies in the past.
You can literally just do things. Except find an affordable hotel in CA lol
We’re hosting Volleyball this weekend!
Started as user sessions, turned into friends, snacks, sunlight, and Iris in the wild :)
Sign up while we still have spots: https://t.co/95w56z2GzB
Here’s some pics from last weekend 👀
Pushed a buggy build and got 10 complaints in the first hour.
Which means atleast 10 people used it in that hour, and cared enough to be angry about it :’)
I’ll take it as a win
the build’s fixed!
Every weekend, we bring together our early users to hang out, build, and create the future of personal AI.
Most people come for Iris and end up staying for the friendships.
If you’re in SF, come by!
We got into @YCombinator!
1.5 months ago, @sidnlad flew to SF and moved into my apartment. I’d just left my last startup and had no idea what to do - but we’re builders at heart, so we did what we do best:
Idea -> prototype -> launch -> repeat
The night YC apps were due, we submitted take one of our founder video with Iris: a personal assistant that connects to all your tools and works like people do - by learning, adapting and moving with you.
This week, we’re dropping Beta v2 to another 200 people on the waitlist: https://t.co/rrAEQllm79
We’re also buying coffee for our early users in SF (first one’s this Saturday). We’re talking to every single person using Iris to make it the best assistant out there. DM if you’re around!
Grateful doesn’t begin to cover it. Every person who’s supported, DM’d, roasted us with feedback and even called us from the app (yes, you can) - you’re building Iris with us.
Big things coming :)
PS - Gave the interview with appendicitis and went into surgery 6 hours later, maximized founder lore (pic 2 is how I told my parents I got in lol)
