@CBarrett_CPA In addition to being worse from a tax perspective for the buyer a stock sale also keeps all past liabilities with the company, an asset sale does not. So you put yourself at legal risk.
@FischerKing64 You mention pension funding - shockingly NY is very good about this. In the top 10. Illinois is perpetually in the bottom 5.

@BarryRoland19 These are some of the conversations that came very naturally in previous generations when people had larger families and therefore extended families. Discussions about death, seeing and dealing with babies and small children. These used to be encountered more often in the past.
Dear CFB Power Brokers,
“We can’t get left behind” is how leaders hide while selling the future. Private equity doesn’t build the game…it strips it. Please have the courage to lead something other than your own bottom line.
Appreciate it,
The folks that actually love this sport
@PenguinOfTroy You've never appeared in my feed before Lincoln Riley chickened out of losing to ND for 8 out of every 10 years, just like he chickened out of OK when they joined the SEC, but maybe you could win some games before complaining. It's too bad USC destroyed the PAC12 and now ND-USC.
@PenguinOfTroy It wasn't losing to ND that was the problem, it was losing to Illinois. Also, maybe try beating ND. Pete Carroll and John Robinson seemed to be able to do it. Lincoln Riley can't. Maybe it's a coaching problem, not a schedule issue.
@RumorsandRants@Football_Talk2@Theoldp thinks differently:
“Now Lincoln Riley ... They’ve capitulated to a coach who’s not from here, who understands very little, it seems, about USC football" “Coaches come and go... But we’ve lost SC-ND(six), and I blame Lincoln Riley and the weak leadership at USC...”
@NicoleAuerbach Notre Dame - USC, played every year since 1926 with the exception of WWII, COVID, and the guy who ran away from Oklahoma when they joined the SEC scared of taking yet another L.
@PenguinOfTroy If continuing an annual rivalry that has been played for damn near 100 years with the exception of WWII and 2020 isn't a tangible benefit what is the point? This is a ridiculous take. This isn't a sometimes rivalry. College football is worse for having lost it.
@PeteSampson_ Lincoln Riley is worried he can't beat ND. With Marcus Freeman at the helm USC will win 1 in 4 of these games at best. It's the same reason Riley ran away from Oklahoma when they joined the SEC. He's scared of the competition.
