@PhrogPollen I love writing stories, and I even wrote couple songs and it made me cry lol. But that's always been my desire, you could reach out so many people to the Gospel from it.

Just don't have the guts to do it. Tried couple of times, but never fully went off.

THE SPIRIT OF MASTURBATION: HOW TO BREAK IT

Joseph was alone in Potiphar's house. Genesis 39:11.

No wife. No family. No one watching. A door was open, a desire was knocking, and the temptation came "day by day." Genesis 39:10.

Now listen carefully.

Joseph did not win that battle in the moment. He won it long before. He lived like a man who knew God was in the room even when no person was. His answer was clear: "How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?" Genesis 39:9.

And when the temptation got close, he did not stand there and negotiate. He ran. Genesis 39:12.

That is the first lesson. The enemy does not start with a fall. He starts with an urge. He looks for the moment you are alone, tired and weak in prayer, and he whispers, "No one will know."

But you are never alone. God sees. And Scripture tells us what to do: "Flee also youthful lusts, but pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:22.

Here is what many young men are never told. What you keep feeding grows. Every time you give in, the habit gets stronger, and then it begins to hold you down. Then comes the shame, and shame makes you pull away from the very God who can set you free.

But there is a way out, and it is not shame. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1. Come back to prayer. Open the Word. Cut off what feeds it. Tell a trusted brother. Fill the empty hours with purpose. "Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." Galatians 5:16.

If you are fighting this today, God is not done with you. The same Holy Spirit who helped Joseph run will help you stand.

WHAT HAS HELD YOU WILL NOT HOLD YOU ANYMORE. YOU ARE FREE IN JESUS' NAME.

@realcole778 Dang that's crazy. 30 chapters long is nuts. Would love read it someday. Mine was around 22 chapters, but the new one might be more since it's a slice-of-life / murder mystery kinda vibe. I wanna try a different strat to make it real this time.

@realcole778 It's a reference to the writing guide book hahaha. The story is alive still, but it's pushed as a backstory than a core one.

You're right about the hair trimming! Had to recycle the story because the theme presented felt boring and repetitive. Not murdering but kinda?

Trying to figure out how to encourage you tonight.

I guess, I’d like to point this out.

God is not done with you. He’s thinking about you. He’s got a plan for your life that is good.

Our Father never gives a stone when we need a fish.

So -I encourage you tonight to put your trust in Him and rest, knowing that your God cares for you.

He knows exactly how many swallows fell today. He cared for each of them deeper and more completely than we can ever fathom.

You are worth more to Him than the swallows.

@kimikeiki Honestly one of the favorite things my pastor preached is that we shouldn't let tragedy erase what God's goodness has done in our lives. For He remains the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
