@cblatts How do you determine if a person is evil? If you can, how do you convince that person that their actions are wrong? If I had to guess, it’s much harder for a politician or a corporate executive to recognize that their actions can have evil consequences than a drug lord

@R_Thaler I would argue it has a lot to do with loss aversion. Missing out on the extra point or field goal hurts old-school coaches more than the added satisfaction from a two-point or fourth-down conversion. Also, bad teams are usually bad in part due to bad decision-making from coaches.

@R_Thaler It’s all about choice architecture, Belichick’s advantage has always been removing sludge from player’s decision-making. He sets clear expectations (Patriot Way) and gives specific instruction and feedback to players (film) to eliminate miscommunication and sludge buildup.
