@saxemberg@giottodf Very happy to discuss this in more detail @saxemberg. Everyone that left was hired before a large restructuring, we disagree with the statement that we made low quality hires.
We are happy to give full context regarding our work.
As mentioned in another reply, we were supporting W3F in the context of our previous ref which is limited to one hire per client, therefore we were asked to put out a new proposal that is fully focused on BD executives for the DFP as more than one hire is needed.

We are not hired by W3F, we have provided one application under the scope of our previous proposal. As the terms of the last one limit us to only one hire per client, we were asked to submit a new proposal specifically for BD executives via DF.

Yesterday I spoke with a candidate for BD that was found by the amazing head hunting agency Missing Link
I was really impressed not only by his track record in a very successful competing blockchain (cannot say the name) but by his ability to deeply understand and explain how a proper BD strategy is supposed to work and be executed, I could tell that I was speaking with someone that had "been there, done that" (similar to when I speak with Ingo from PoKe) and not someone that was just trying to "let's throw something at the wall and see if something sticks" - which is still better than doing nothing
I'm very concerned that the best people out there that can make the difference for Polkadot are not aware of the existence of the Decentralized Futures program from W3F and that the only people that are applying are the ones that got fired from parity or are close to the ecosystem
There are truly amazing people outside of the ecosystem that don't even know about this opportunity
I am encouraging Missing Link and other head hunters to post a proposal to find TOP people from other chains for BD and marketing and then encourage them to apply to the Decentralized Futures so we can improve the quality of the applicants and hopefully the impact of those funds
