Our new @The_UKLA Early Career Teachers’ Representative is now on Twitter as @MissTatum9 ! I had the pleasure of leading a workshop with her at our @OpenUni_RfP conference in Bristol and I just know that she’ll bring so much to this role! Give her a follow! 💙 @TeresaCremin
@kmlarwood - 6T have just finished reading Podkin in class with @MissTatum9 and Lucia has asked “What inspired you to write about rabbits?” and “What is the best book you have ever read?”
The whole class would be so excited if you could reply! 🐰😍
It’s #UKLAWinter21 and this year UKLA members are invited to share a favourite picture book about winter. #UKLAmember Sue McGonigle @suemcgonigle introduces us to ‘Robin's Winter Song’ by Suzanne Barton @suzannebarton0 @KidsBloomsbury
Good for you💪🏼 it’s tough but they’ll respect you more for it. Show them you mean what you say; following through on sanctions and maintaining consistency is key to good behaviour management, so don’t be afraid to make some unpopular decisions!😂
Having to be a bit of a monster at school now. No play time Mr Sallows anymore! Raised voice of incredulity when they don't respond to my voice. 'I am appalled that some students have ignored the bell!' Deafening silence and me there like Miss Trunchbull 🔕🙈😭🤣🤣
Our new #ReflectingRealities report has just been released, showing an increase in children’s books featuring a minority ethnic character - from 10% in 2019 to 15% in 2020.

A glorious INSET Day exploring the Take One Picture Project from @NationalGallery - I cannot wait for my class to create their own masterpieces inspired by Vernet! 🎨
So grateful for our Deputy Head. Seeing that staff were feeling overwhelmed, cancelling a non-urgent staff meeting meaning staff could use the precious hours to get ahead or simply enjoy an early finish and put our well being first, all while providing a sweet treat too☺️👏🏼
Wow! What an amazing opportunity🤩 I currently teach Year 6 and we’re loving learning about classification of living things; we enjoy searching outside for examples of leaf and plant species and using our own classification grids to sort these☺️
I couldn’t be prouder of you, B. Last time I saw you in person, you were being awarded the UKLA Student Shadower Award in Sheffield in 2019. Now, just two years later, you’re our Regional Rep Co-ordinator - as an ECT. What a @The_UKLA journey … 💙 @guerriero_b@RS_Hargreaves
