I made a Kahoot quiz based on this maths KO (but it’s essentially just a quiz on a wide variety of KS2 maths so anyone can use it) - ideal for last week of SATs revision!

Lucy Strange is one of only a handful of authors who gets automatic promotion to the top of my reading pile. Murder on a Midsummer Night is an absolute treat. A cosy midsummer murder, combining mystery and suspense with a wide range of eccentric characters. It's a lot of fun.
@EleFountain is a cracking author.
Has anyone else read any of her books? I'm a huge fan so I'm wondering which ones people have enjoyed.

@DeputyGrocott I've tried so many ways of showing this and it's never quite worked!We tried lengths of rope with ribbons for key events on the school field, toilet paper (where each sheet =100 years) and various other bits but never quite catches the scope of the different periods. Good luck!
I know asking for resources is a bit old hat on here now 😔 but I’m looking to get the children to create a ‘big picture’ history timeline. So putting key events and civilizations in one timeline so they can see where the Ancient Greeks ‘fit’. Does anyone have anything like this?
Still amazed that I’ve got an early read of Six Weeks, the latest powerful read from @EarlyTrain & Joe Todd-Stanton 📖 I can’t wait to meet Alfie! Coming 4/6. Thanks SO much Matt & @HachetteKids
Over the past six years, I’ve loved writing a regular reading column in Educate magazine. Almost forty articles later, covering graphic novels, empathy, peer recommendations, reading aloud, and much more, I’ve gathered them all on my Padlet.

The line-up of authors, poets and illustrators for EmpathyLab’s Empathy Day festival (4th–11th June) is absolutely stunning. Sessions feature @MichaelRosenYes, Tom Percival, Patrice Lawrence, @whatSFSaid, Manjeet Mann and Louie Stowell. More info here: https://t.co/tDVE3xeEFS
I'm running a rare (cos I never have time any more) Whole Class Reading In KS2 Zoom on Sunday morning at 10am next week, if anyone fancies it. I know it's short notice. Retweets appreciated if anyone's still here.

@RobCrossley4@Valda_Varadinek@Joelarcanjo Oh my goodness - I couldn't agree more. I have read the first three and absolutely love this series. Totally, utterly genius with ace characters 👏

Daisy Hirst’s “There Is Not Usually a Hole” is the best kind of shaggy dog/ cat story - playful, quietly brave, and full of trust in young readers. Dark tunnels, found friends, and humour in what’s left unsaid. Simple, smart, and deeply satisfying. A joy! #PicturebookPage
