@easyJet @sazzleatkinson @shaunmadge Thanks, Ron, but I imagine the “extraordinary circumstances” clause is going to make our claim a colossal waste of time
For anyone putting their trust in the “live” @easyJet tracker and email/text updates, DON’T
Flight delayed twice, before returning to scheduled time. Arrived @BristolAirport to be told that ALL #EasyJet flights are cancelled & they won’t be paying compensation #AirTrafficControl
We have been advised of an Air Traffic Control systems failure affecting UK airspace, which is currently causing disruption to flying programmes for airlines operating to and from the UK.
We are providing customers on cancelled flights with the option to transfer their flight free of charge or receive a refund and recommend that all passengers flying with us today, regardless of their destination, check the status of their flight on our Flight Tracker at https://t.co/soN2ZivwP1 for real time information before travelling to the airport.
The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is our highest priority and while these circumstances are outside of our control, we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and to reassure customers that we are doing everything possible to minimise the impact of the disruption.
@AliBT99 @sazzleatkinson @shaunmadge @sarahesphotmai1 @easyJet@BristolAirport Thank you, Ali. We gave up yesterday and booked our own flights for tomorrow - I’ll see how far we get with the refund!
@Elizabe16762820@AssistanceZiggy@easyJet@BristolAirport We got told by the EasyJet staff at the airport. They said we should have had an email to say the flight had been cancelled (which we hadn’t), and we’d get a refund but no compensation
@adelecarlsen@easyJet We were categorically told by an @easyJet “manager” ( easily one of the rudest humans we’ve ever dealt with) at Bristol that EasyJet won’t be offering compensation.
@twititbristol@easyJet@BristolAirport That makes me feel better, because all online info (and flight trackers) still say the flight was departing on time - I had a horrible feeling that our plane took off whilst we were driving the hour home!
@hanleyi@easyJet@BristolAirport Quicker, more reliable and - judging by how quickly the flight prices shot up - probably cheaper!
I’m glad you’re getting home, the amount of people stranded at Bristol was heartbreaking
@hanleyi@easyJet@BristolAirport The emotional rollercoaster 😂
Are (were?) you flying from Bristol? The EasyJet staff couldn’t understand why we’d shown up, they’d known for ages that all their flights were cancelled.
The communication has been an absolute joke, hasn’t it? Fingers crossed for you
@srmgeorge@Callsign_Kodak From Si’s view to mine, straight over the quarters. It was bloody stunning, Matty, thank you.
We should get these vids in order so you’ve all a timeline of our views from the ground!
