100 days since #USFundingCuts began, the ripple effects are catastrophic. From #HIV programs shutting down in South Africa to mental health support vanishing in Ethiopia, millions are feeling the impact. https://t.co/gvXKOLSVJX
On April 11th, #Zamzam camp in North #Darfur, home to 500,000 people, was under attack again.
60km from there, in #Tawila, @MSF teams witnessed the arrival of more than 10,000 people in less than 48h. All of them, in terrible conditions.
🚨 We condemn Israel’s strike on Nasser hospital in Gaza, Palestine, the largest functional hospital in the Strip, and where our teams work.
We call for the respect and protection of healthcare facilities, patients and medical staff in Gaza.

🚨 The US decision to end support for Gavi puts millions of children’s lives at risk.
This decision could deny 75 million children routine vaccinations in the next 5 years, with more than 1.2 million children potentially dying as a result.

Israeli authorities have cut electricity to Gaza – which is reducing the supply of water – and are preventing any aid from entering, in an instrumentalisation of aid tantamount to collective punishment.
We call on Israel to respect international humanitarian law and to end this inhumane blockade of the Strip.

Some Americans haven’t lost the plot - why don’t we hear more of their voices?
The mayor of Boston on what matters for safety and trust in the community and how the current US federal government is destroying that. #stopTrump
Crickets.
The majority of @EU_Commission-ers in India, and absolute silence on human rights.
The only way EU-India relations will realize their potential as a defining partnership of this century - and meet shared global challenges

MSF strongly denounces Israel’s announcement to block aid into #Gaza. Humanitarian aid should never be used as a tool of war. Regardless of negotiations between warring parties, people in Gaza still need an immediate and massive scale-up of humanitarian supplies.
Israel’s decision to block humanitarian aid to Gaza is a war crime & amounts to collective punishment of the civilian population. It's a continuation of the policy to impose on Palestinians conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction. This is genocide.
Netanyahu’s extremist government has halted ALL humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Starving children is a war crime.
UN leaders said: "International humanitarian law is clear: we must be allowed access to deliver vital lifesaving aid. We need to get aid in and the hostages out.”

"Israel is once again blocking an entire population from receiving aid, using it as a bargaining chip. This is unacceptable, outrageous, and will have devastating consequences," says MSF’s Caroline Seguin.
"The news has created uncertainty and fear, causing food prices to spike."
While the overall number of trucks that entered Gaza has increased since the ceasefire started, restrictions by Israeli authorities on critical supplies, are hindering the humanitarian response.
Most of the aid that entered was food and fuel, not nearly enough to meet the people’s immense needs.
.@UNAIDS has received reports from 50+ countries experiencing disruptions in their HIV response due to the US foreign aid pause. Any reduction could severely disrupt life-saving prevention programs, risking new infections & reversing progress to #endAIDS.

It's been exactly one year since the paediatric department at Nyala Teaching Hospital, South Darfur, was reopened after it was damaged in the conflict
Watch this video to see how @MSF refurbished the department so that over 5,000 children could receive healthcare in the last year
