@kvvoya What are the facts you are referring to? I just googled it and found this video. Is it fake? Honest questions β I'm out of the loop (and hardly care π) https://t.co/31lroE5Mkn
@WillChildsKlein@ridestheTalot Yeah I don't really understand β you'd think they would update all of the user-facing mentions of the "Commuter Rail" all over their website and elsewhere, and then MAYBE in a few years switch the API slugs over to the new terminology.
But whatever, I'm happy to see movement
@SelphinRose @GarlicCorgi@quesador@AlexNowrasteh I don't think you two disagree, if I'm interpreting this confusing discussion correctly.
Adjusted for PPP, which we all think is the right thing to do in order to make a comparison, German median wage is about 18% higher than Mississippi median wage.
...right?
@pentargency@wrens_dens@RepRashida@kroger I don't think inflation "means" prices go up, I think inflation is a measurement (CPI β a weighted average of many goods) of how much prices *have* gone up.
@CaponTrade @Mike_from_PA@agraybee It's not even a sacrifice. Conservative republicans are the only voting bloc that oppose abolishing the EC; shocker. It's even supported by moderate and liberal Republicans.
@CaponTrade @Mike_from_PA@agraybee I see, ok. Hard disagree. "We want everyone's vote to matter the same" sounds, to me, like even something one of those power-hungry Pennsylvanians can get behind...
@ThunderWolf08 Well, Tesla could certainly dream of making trains. But then they'd wake up and be like "that was a crazy dream, alright let's flood the roads with cars"
@ladybndip@Mike_from_PA There is a limit to how much the goal posts can move. It's set by the worse candidate. I already said that, though. What's your strategy? We're talking voter strategy. Your options are abstain, vote Trump, vote Kamala, vote for some third party.
@Mike_from_PA Well I can't snap a stick of celery between my ass cheeks and change the national voting mechanism. At the eleventh hour all one can do is hold their nose and vote. Reform can happen, but abstaining from voting for a stinker helps the stinkier.
@_DavidLeBlanc@Mike_from_PA That's the real answer, but beside the point. A third-party vote in a swing state is equivalent to a vote for whomever is less similar to the third party. Need a system that isn't first-past-the-post for that to change.
