Very true. Not only Sunday, these people had agreed to work on both Sunday and Saturday! Imagine if IBA DFS and RBI had approved for working on Sat and Sunday! Never in future will the union het such support from all the employees to this extent
Everything was clear from the beginning. That is why AIBEA and AIBOC did not raise any strong opposition to Sunday working while behind the scenes efforts were apparently being made to defer the strike.
And today the strike has actually been deferred.
@TheBankster2 Did your sources nor say that DFS did not even participate in the late night discussion yesterday night? Only UFBU and IBA met to mutually agree on some stupid agenda!
@RCB_Bay_Reign@Supreme_huihui_@grok About which banks are you talking about! Only because you have an account doesn’t mean u can post any stupidity. Check the facts and then bark!
We need a concrete answer frm all the leaders who attended meeting. what was the understanding they agreed upon. The time of implementation 2 be announced. If not, 💯 sure the unions and the leaders are going 2 lose their trust & credibility among members @kmarkri need ur support
It’s very disheartening to see how lakhs of bankers were used as pawns. A sudden meeting was held 2day b/w UFBU and IBA, bt where is DFS the authority who decides about 5 days banking.
Without them how was a mutual understanding obtained.@ChVenkatachalam@aiboc_in@AIBEAofficial
@ChVenkatachalam Tomorrow our comrades will ask us:
What did we achieve?
Why were we made to work on Sunday?
What happened to all our agitation?
More than the strike, the credibility of our Organisation before its members is now at stake.
Regarding coming to banks on 27th, the issue was taken up with iba and iba informed that with the approval of Rbi as per BR Act branches will function for the purpose of ATM filling, cash from currency chest to avoid dry ATMs, and some minimum services without violation NI act. Further we learn that Govt is also taking efforts to make it under NI Act. Hence employees and Officers can go to branches on 27th since it is not a strike day. Ofcourse eligible compensation, overtime wages will be paid. UFBU
Just read this communication from UFBU on Sunday working.i request ufbu leadership to share that part of BR act which empowers RBI to open bank on public holiday under NI ACT .
And also we would like to know what prevented ufbu leadership to lodge a protest letter against this Sunday opening when we are fighting for Saturday closing and sacrificing our precious salary for that .
@sauravv123@WeekendInvestng 5 days banking in discussion is not the same as 5 days banking implemented. We would wish to see these implemented, not just going around from table to table.
@sauravv123@WeekendInvestng This time the strike call was made way ahead so that every public individual should be aware and be prepared to avoid any inconvenience. This is the final option every banker has.
And sir, with due respect, I doubt if you have ever seen a banker working. Its never 6-7 hours.
@sauravv123@WeekendInvestng Bankers work from 9 am to atleast 8pm and the work load they have, the staff shortage they face is yet another topic debatable. So without understanding the facts, please abstain from posting. Regulated working hours is not the same as implemeted working hours.
