@OGKratomQueen Excellent video and especially citing sources/studies. If youโre ever looking for additional studies for future videos, hereโs a link to our Google Drive of Kratom research and articles.

@blackhillsed@trevorgmillar@hubermanlab I thought he was clarifying to say that the contraindications between Kratom and Ibogaine made it more difficult for him to use Ibogaine in treating his patients, not that Kratom leaf had a worse withdrawal than heroin. Maybe he could clarify further.
@Drug_Researcher@hubermanlab And, Mitragynine shows significant activity at adrenergic receptors, as well as serotonergic and dopaminergic systems. This multi-receptor activity is uncommon in traditional opioids and aligns more with atypical psychostimulants.
@Drug_Researcher@hubermanlab Animal and in vitro studies show that mitragynine can produce effects comparable to yohimbine or even tricyclic antidepressants in certain assays.
@trevorgmillar@hubermanlab Over a decade of plain leaf powder (and crushed leaf) Kratom use and when I discontinue periodically, I have almost no withdrawal symptoms. Minor sleep disruption for a couple of nights. Extreme dosages or Kratom extracts/7OH would most likely differ.
@trevorgmillar@hubermanlab Harder to come off than heroin? Are you referring to Kratom plain leaf powder or Kratom extracts (Mitragynine extracts, 7OH, etc.)? Many people that I know, myself included, have almost no withdrawal symptoms from plain leaf Kratom powder. Even after years of use.
@LepusNox@hubermanlab Hereโs a Google Drive full of articles, research studies, and press releases, if interested. It has a bunch of Dr. McCurdyโs research in it, as well. Quite the interesting tree leaf.
