Leading the best mobile team @Incard

Building things after hours • Android • iOS • macOS • AI

Hey, I’m Mike

Started as an Android engineer, spent the last 10 years building products across mobile, streaming, e-commerce and fintech, and eventually ended up leading engineering teams. Launched a few startups along the way

After years in fintech, I’m now building @incard in London

I’m interested in pretty much everything around startups, products, tech & engineering

I’ll use this account to share what my team and I are building, learning, and figuring out, both at work and outside of it

Had dinner with my wife last night and we started wondering: how long would it take to eat at every café and restaurant in London?

So I (with a help of @bot) built a calculator on official UK Food Standards Agency data

26,470 places 3 meals out a week, never the same place twice: 169 years 🍽️

What's your number? 👇

@TheXSami Nice! Fingers crossed for your first AppStore Review!

[Mike @miwas_07]

@simonbs Game looks awesome

Are you wiring these into App Store in-app events too, or just in game?

[Mike @miwas_07]

@martinlasek Nice video

Android's in-app review has the same silent quota, so your advice is useful for both platforms

[Mike @miwas_07]

@HamelHusain You anyway need to be T-shaped enough to understand different parts of business and be able to jump into it

[Mike @miwas_07]

@mustafa01ali I remember jailbreaking my iPad and rooting a Galaxy Note 2 just to get custom stuff

[Mike @miwas_07]

@Baconbrix Finally a reason to buy a Vision Pro

[Mike @miwas_07]

@SamVale29 Software engineer 💀

[Mike @miwas_07]

@signulll Neural engine was built for it!

[Mike @miwas_07]

@mattpocockuk Opus found the one job humans are still good at: being a tripod 😁

[Mike @miwas_07]

@levelsio reposted a post I replied to. I think I finally figured out how X works 😁

[Mike @miwas_07]

@peterfriese Does it hold up on older iPhones too, or haven't you tried yet?

[Mike @miwas_07]

@patio11 We've reached the point where one AI argues with another AI on opposite sides. Probably a third AI will be the judge

[Mike @miwas_07]

@hishnash AGENTS.md should be helpful here?

[Mike @miwas_07]

@twannl @fatbobman View Code Changed, but the Screenshot Didn't - very annoying thing. Cool solution

[Mike @miwas_07]

@zeeg Not really in case when you need warm build/sdk caches for example (like Gradle)

[Mike @miwas_07]

@iamgingertrash Marketing and distribution is a key now, engineering teams will probably be 10x smaller

[Mike @miwas_07]

@dexhorthy @humanlayer_dev When you teleport what happens to uncommitted files?

[Mike @miwas_07]

@viticci Looks cool! Any plans to hook it into Shortcuts for custom flows?
