It also repeats the claim that Iran will only receive frozen assets "tied to performance", but nobody has said a word about what the metrics are going to be
Beyond that, a very revealing document. What did the war accomplish? The two main "achievements" cited here are reopening Hormuz (which was open before the war) and securing an Iranian promise, "in writing", not to build a nuclear bomb (which was literally in the first paragraph of the JCPOA)
AI is being used to plan and conduct military attacks at a speed and scale that can make meaningful precautions difficult or impossible. The deliberate compression of time available to verify targets and assess civilian harm does not excuse that failure. https://t.co/BXU4jO82ms
In 2024-2025, in Ukraine alone there were more than 900 attacks on schools. In Palestine, over 2,000 attacks targeted education, and by the end of 2025, nearly all schools in Gaza were damaged or destroyed. https://t.co/gbSP64ZLEX
A leaked memo shows the European Union has known since 2017 that it had the legal right to freeze Israel's trade deal due to Israel's persistent violations of international law in the occupied West Bank. https://t.co/0lkP43NBaV
Trump turns 80 today. A Reuters/Ipsos poll taken in February showed that nearly six in 10 Americans think he is growing more erratic. Given his enormous power, and the refusal of timid Republicans in Congress to stand up to him, that’s dangerous. https://t.co/CP3LCjZYYZ
Israel's Dahiyeh strike today hit the building immediately next to the late @LokmanSlim's house, still used by members of his family. Mercifully none were wounded, but the house suffered damage.
The strike killed 3 and injured 15, per @NNALeb.
Reporting from the historic city of Tyre for @TheNationalNews. We saw clear damage at one of the archaeological sites, where wreckage was scattered among ancient Roman ruins and a column had been broken by an Israeli strike on Sunday. The attack targeted, and completely obliterated, a heritage house just a few metres away.
The area is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which legally protects landmarks or areas legally because of their “outstanding value to humanity.”
“Israeli firm BlackCore, suspected of interfering in France's local elections in March, is also suspected of meddling in elections in New York City and Scotland, and operating in Angola and Togo, France's disinformation detection service, Viginum, said.” https://t.co/Yfh8ArJhr1
Holy shit!
French officials are saying that they believe an Israeli firm was used to interfere in the 2025 Municipal election in New York City, presumably in an attempt to stop Zohran Mamdani
NEW: Our visual analysis suggests the United States hit two drinking-water facilities overnight in southern Iran with precision-guided munitions. Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute a war crime. w/ @ckoettl@johnismay@ArtemisChats
If they truly believe this, it has all the hallmarks of someone despairing at not getting his way, flailing, lashing out, mistaking military escalation for leverage, only to discover yet again that pressure won’t alter Iran’s stance ...
On the first day of the war, U.S. precision strikes killed 120 children at a school and 21 civilians at/near a sports hall. Just last night, precision strikes destroyed a drinking water facility serving 20,000 people in 100°F heat. “Very precise, very controlled.”
PARIS - Only 11% of Europeans across 15 countries view the United States as an ally, a historic low and down from 16% half a year ago and 22% in November 2024, according to a survey published by the European Council on Foreign Relations on Wednesday.
Mada Airways, a new Lebanese commercial airline, is preparing to enter the market, coinciding with the expiry earlier this year of MEA’s long-standing exclusivity over Lebanon’s local aviation market.
The carrier, sister company of IBEX Air Charter, is awaiting its license and the rehabilitation of Qleiaat Airport, from which it plans to operate exclusively.

🚨‼️Israel is casually kidnapping civilians in southern Lebanon.
Two more men were abducted today while operating a well in Kfarchouba, the only source of water for the area. This brings the total number of civilians abducted from Kfarchouba alone to six.
The Sunni-majority village is among the few communities within the "yellow line" that remain inhabited. The mayor told us Israeli raids and abductions have become a constant threat.
“This is our land and our country. We will not leave. They can use force and intimidation, but they cannot break our attachment to our land, our homes and our village.”

Viscerally horrifying and brilliant — @HeidilBlake’s deep dive into Andrew Tate’s abuse of women and girls is the best investigative feature I’ve read this year

Horrifying, brilliant work.
I want to see more women in investigative journalism. If the Tate philosophy is not to read: good. Female journalists will read, write, and publish what we find
