@bmthmatters@TheBrianCase@BCPCouncil@Morebusco The tender is how much the Council (and therefore the council taxpayers) have to pay the bus operator to run buses on those routes. The Bus Co receives that money plus fares from Passengers (or the Council if the passenger has a Bus Pass)
@TheBrianCase@BCPCouncil@Morebusco 3. The smooth way it has worked is not the product of a few days. We have been working on contingency plans for some time in case this situation came about, while hoping it wouldn't.
The BCP-Morebus relationship is outstanding
@TheBrianCase@BCPCouncil@Morebusco 2. It is for a short period only and I would be very surprised if Morebus does not bid for the long term contract, as part of its network.
It has not been reported (even though Morebus MD stressed it to The Echo, that this whole rescue has been coordinated with the Council.
@NatalieGodfrey1@limetreecomms@BCPCouncil@dorsetpolice@Bournemouthecho Please provide some examples of the car parks that have been taken away.
I know of one: Durley, which was allowed by the anti-Conservative Unicorn Alliance . But I can't think of any more where an equal or greater no. of parking spaces have been provided. So please. Name them
@LJ_1874 @GeorgeRussell63 Worse than that. Only those between Lewis and Max allowed to pass. If all had been allowed to, the race would be too late to restart
1/2. If, like me, you never thought the Police and Crime Commissioner position should be political, consider whether the "Independent" approach of the last 8 years has helped tackle the ASB in Bournemouth and Poole.
2/2 It's time to elect someone who will actually use the powers available to take action. That candidate is Conservative David Sidwick. Let's ensure he gets it.
@vikki4mdnp Remind me, Vikki, which way did you and the LibDems vote on the motion to adjourn the meeting earlier in the evening "stopping us discussing matters that are really important to residents of this area"?
@hadleyac @vikki4mdnp 5 Conservatives got increased allowances, 11 took actual cuts and the remaining 20 accepted less than the Independent Review wanted to give them (the review that the other groups wanted to support).
How exactly is that shifting allowances to suit themselves?
@vikki4mdnp @PhilBroadhead If it was just about the numbers so far, then many more of these would have been reversed. Instead, we are listening to ward councillors who know their wards and can act in an unbiased way. Unlike the previous Administration we don't just listen to those who agree with us.
2/2. So each turbine would appear more than twice as tall as the Allure of the Seas does today.
They would have been almost as wide as they are tall and there would have been 121 of them.
Please make up your own mind if they would have been "almost invisible" as some claim!
1/2 Today is a great opportunity for anyone unaware of how imposing the Navitus Wind Farm would have been to get a real idea.
Look at the furthest cruise ship. It is 236 ft tall and is 8 miles from Bournemouth Pier.
The wind turbines would have been 660 ft tall, 11 miles out
My transport stats for the past two months:
Driving 72 miles
Walking 457 miles
Cycling 846 miles
Does this mean I'm getting the hang of "Active Travel" ?
@JoshGWright 3) The Administration was not forbidden from consulting on the road closures before they went in. They chose to exploit the emergency legislature which allowed them to keep the proposals secret.
The Alliance should withdraw their misusing and factually incorrect statement now
