Accurate surveying depends on reliable #GNSS equipment and a well-performing Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) network.

At the @Lands_Rwanda in Kigali, we are servicing and configuring Leica GG03/04 and Trimble R2 GNSS antennas to work optimally with the established CORS network-helping ensure accurate and consistent positioning for surveying and mapping.

This follows the successful completion of servicing work at @INES_Ruhengeri University and Real Contractors LTD in Rwanda.
Beyond configuration, RCMRD provides calibration, repair and maintenance of surveying equipment, helping institutions keep their geospatial infrastructure reliable, accurate and fit for purpose.

Modern survey and geodetic equipment such as #GNSS receivers, total stations, digital levels, #UAVs, and #LiDAR systems play a critical role in accurate data collection in both academic and professional practice. Proper maintenance, calibration, and management are essential to ensure accuracy, compliance with standards, and long-term usability.

In this context, through our Engineering Section, we are conducting a training for Ardhi University , Tanzania focusing on strengthening capacity in the management of surveying and geodetic equipment, including maintenance, servicing, calibration, and store management.

Strengthening Collaboration with @KenGenKenya in Geospatial Innovation.

Today, we visited #KenGen in Naivasha for a benchmarking and partnership meeting aimed at expanding collaboration in Geospatial Information Services.

The delegation from RCMRD, led by Mr. Abedinico Maphuru, our Director of Geospatial Services, engaged in organizational briefings followed by a tour of key technical areas -including the #GNSS and Surveying Equipment unit and the #Hydrones Ecosounding equipment used for bathymetric surveys.

Discussions with KenGen’s Geomatics team focused on leveraging RCMRD’s regional expertise in GIS, mapping, and equipment calibration services to enhance KenGen’s operations
