I want to thank all the fans in Japan who shared these pics with us so we could get a better look at Michael’s outfits before they go up for auction ❤️‍🩹

I know it is what it is and this post won’t change a thing. I just wanna say that I don’t agree with people saying that if Michael’s children don’t care about these items being sold, then we shouldn’t care either. They probably have access to so much more of Michael’s personal belongings, and they have their own memories of the moments they shared with their dad, so maybe that’s why they don’t mind these pieces being sold.

As fans, we don’t have that. All we really have are his music, his short films, and these pieces. That’s why I hate the thought of them ending up in private collections instead of a museum where fans could actually see them.

And honestly, this is just another reason I keep saying the estate is doing such a terrible job of preserving Michael’s legacy. If his children aren’t interested in keeping these pieces, then the very least the estate could do is make an effort to acquire them and keep them from ending up in private collections.
