In "Mass Incarceration, Visualized", I learned that there is about 1.2-million African American children that has a parent that is incarcerated. Which works to be 1 in 9 African American children. Studies show those affected children have lots of behavioral problems. #SOCL214

Adam ruins everything is such an informative show and makes information digestion easy. Red lining zone made it easy for white people in the green zone to get approved for loans. Red zones made it next to impossible for minorities and non-whites to get loans. #SOCL214

After watching the video on pelo malo, I learned that growing up these people were told that their hair wasn't good and had to get "relaxers" to make them feel "pretty". The video also talked about how their grandparents would get anxious because of their hair type. #SOCL214
