5 yrs ago today Lisa was taken into hospital
She was told she had a condition called Vaccine Induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia, caused by the AstraZeneca jab
8 days later she died
When will the government act to properly support families like mine?
5 yrs is already too long
They think that if they ignore the covid vaccine bereaved and injured that we will disappear, die or just go away.
The reality is that the longer they do that then the trust in anything connected to any vaccine gets lower and lower as the vast majority of the public see people like us screaming for help and support for over five years and decide that it's not a risk that they are prepared to take knowing how they will be treated like us if it goes wrong.
For five years the covid vaccine bereaved families and the injured have been highlighting the lack of proper help and support and the inadequacies of the UK's vdps and next week is not a day too soon.
It's been too little, too late to too few.
I hope the Inquiry report will acknowledge the critical issues around communication.
I hope the inquiry report will acknowledge the devastating treatment of those who have lost a loved one or have had their lives and health destroyed because of a covid vaccine.
I hope the inquiry report addresses the compensation and delivers a fitting and meaningful fit for purpose replacement of the vdps.
I hope the inquiry report has recommendations that reflect the experiences of those affected.
These should never have been hopes that we have.
They should have been implemented in the first place before a single vaccine was rolled out.
For too long, those who have suffered life changing injuries or lost loved ones following Covid 19 vaccination have been
overlooked, dismissed, and unsupported.
It is important that the Inquiry acknowledges the full picture, including the human cost where things have gone terribly wrong.
VIBUK calls on Baroness Hallett to ensure that her findings reflect the voices and experiences of those impacted by
vaccine injury and bereavement, and to deliver clear, decisive recommendations that prevent further harm, address
systemic injustices, and provide meaningful recognition, accountability, and support for all those affected.
This is an important day for the vaccine injured and bereaved @VIBUK_Official hopes the Inquiry will acknowledge critical issues around communication, casualties, and compensation and to deliver meaningful recommendations that reflect the experiences of those affected.

My Dad wasn’t a statistic — he was our world.
We trusted, we followed the guidance, and now we live with the consequences every day.
The Covid Inquiry must not just listen — it must act. @PeterABedford@wesstreeting@SharonHodgsonMP#CovidInquiry#VIBUK
My husband Stephen sadly paid the ultimate price for following what we were told was the right thing. I hope the Inquiry has truly listened and acknowledges the real harms some have suffered—not with token gestures, but with compassion and meaningful recommendations.
This will be an important day for the vaccine injured and bereaved. We have been waiting for 5 years for acknowledgement and real support. My son Stephen died aged 32 from the AZ vaccine, leaving a young wife Charlotte and two small children. 🙏🙏🤞
We are deeply concerned the Covid Inquiry report will reduce vaccine injury and bereavement to a few token words.
For families like ours, this is not a footnote. Our lives have been permanently changed.
The report must go further — it must confront the reality of harm, the failures in communication to the public, and the lack of transparency around what constitutes an acceptable safety standard.
It must address the gaps in our medical systems, where too many have been left without answers, support, or recognition.
Ignoring this will not restore trust. Facing it might.

My wife Lisa died in 2021
Her death was caused by the AZ vaccine
For families like mine, whether bereaved or injured, this report on vaccines & therapeutics matters deeply
It’s a chance to be heard, to understand, and prevent others going through the same pain
@covidinquiryuk
I hope this further engagement with members of the Covid vaccine injured and bereaved community by @wesstreeting leads to proper support for those affected. It's good to see that he is willilling to listen, but now is the time to act and to provide proper support.
Campaigners have met with the Health Secretary as they call for changes to the compensation scheme for people left injured by COVID-19 vaccines.
Gareth Eve's wife Lisa died after receiving an AstraZeneca jab, while Kate Scott's husband Jamie was left with brain damage.
Both say their fight isn't anti-vaccine, but about getting fair financial support for those whose lives have been changed by adverse reactions.
4 year ago tonight Mark complained of a headache and first went into hospital we had no idea what lay ahead still living with the effects of vaccine injury 💉astrazeneca has so much to answer for 😡
"If I said my husband had a bike accident, people would say how sorry they were - but because he's been left disabled by the Covid vaccine, they question if it's true" 💔💔
