@gator_gum As someone who bears the scars of a ‘friendly dog’ (and who LOVES dogs and coos over them incessantly!), yes. You never know how a ‘friendly’ is going to react, or how the person receiving the interaction is going to respond.
Hey @311Toronto! When is this piecemeal repair going to be properly repaired? Just watched someone fall in the middle of the street because they tried to avoid one hole, only to fall into another. Dundas/Dovercourt.
This is pushing more work into smaller businesses - now we also have to track the non-qualifying taxes paid to distributors for the next two months and claim them back. Plus the big companies get to sit on that extra cash for the same time frame.
Received a similar email from one of our distributors. So we’ve logged 20+ hours as a small business trying to set everything up for *checks notes* tomorrow…. And I’m getting emails saying ‘we just aren’t going to do it now and we’ll sort it out later- all payments due in full’
Still think the GST/HST holiday is a breeze for small business?
All companies (including manufacturers and wholesalers) selling products subject to the holiday are to zero-rate the tax starting Dec. 14.
Here is a response from @PepsiCo Canada. If large companies can't do this in time, god help Canada's small businesses this weekend.
Good luck to fellow small & medium business owners continuing to get set up for HST changes this weekend while also waiting to see if Senate even passes the bill….
Hi #Toronto! Do you recognize these two? Stole well over $200 in products from our store today. We’d love to have a chat with them!

Our mom started a family Zoom chat about 2.5 years ago, since we all live *just* far enough apart that it was incredibly difficult to get together and communicate the way we all wanted to. That weekly chat is still going today and is a constant refuge in the storm of life. 💕💕
TIL that when you sell your car, @TD_Canada#MelocheMonnex charges you a penalty for cancelling your auto insurance. A hefty $250 for me, but apparently it’s some kind of sliding scale that no one can confirm, explain, or override. Fun times.
