Schools shifting online again.
It's been 662 days since Ford first closed schools in March 2020
Why do we still have classrooms without proper ventilation?
Why don't our staff have proper PPE?
Why are they cancelling public reporting of COVID cases in schools?
#onpoli
Today in bizarre Ministry of Ed decisions, why are students being advised to consult with their teachers about covid vaccines?
We haven't been trained to have these conversations & I can see the #OCT calling this a boundary violation.

Our teachers deserve gratitude. Last week, many prepared work for our kids to do at home when rumors suggested they should. Then the province said schools would remain open. Then, without warning, our kids are back online, and teachers were up late last night, preparing. Heroes.
#OECTA calls on the Ford govt and PHUs to immediately prioritize the vaccination of teachers, ed workers, & other essential workers, and to move schools in hot spot regions from in-person to virtual learning until this is complete. #onpoli

🤡. My sister teaches a blind student. VIRTUALLY. I would love to see you do that. Teaching isn’t just 6 hours a day. It is HOURS of marking, it is HOURS of preparation. Now all having to do that online. Give me a freakin’ break. They need a break right now. Everyone does.
during remote learning, the grade 4 and 4/5 class loved building digital snowmen and practising our creative writing by describing them! we read our work aloud during the snowman fashion show so everyone could see our funny designs!⛄️

On what planet is this fair @fordnation?
This is why I do it this job. I had the privilege of teaching the same group of Ss consecutively for the Late EF program in Gr 7 & 8. Words can’t even describe how incredibly proud I am of this student & how much it means to have Ss reach out to share updates/accomplishments.
we worked hard to create these beautiful cards for the veterans in French class at @BeachBalmy . I can’t wait to send them in the mail this weekend on behalf of the classes! #TDSB
