There's no greater summer tradition in the NBA than Sean Marks getting dudes paid every offseason, going all the way back to Tyler Johnson and Allen Crabbe.
As a Nyets fan, I cannot remember a draft that I have cared less about who the Nyets pick. Even drafts where we had no picks, I was fully invested. This draft, meh. The wrong pick will throw Nyets fans into something awful. Have zero preferences aside from DP, AJ & Canarsie Cam.
The Nets since their owner tweeted "Things gonna be fine" on 2/11/23
Record: 72-171
Coaches: 3
30+ Point Losses: 11
Record vs Knicks: 0-12
Largest defeat in Nets history (59 pts)
Traded 4 picks to tank in 2024-2026
May not pick top-5 in either draft
A directionless franchise
Sean Marks 10+ seasons as General Manager of the Brooklyn Nets: #NBA
347W - 481L (.419%)
5 playoff appearances
4 first-round exits
2 playoff sweeps
2 lottery picks (2025,2026)
The Nets traded three first-round picks and one first-round swap to regain control over their 2025 and 2026 first-round picks so they could tank.
They move down a combined five slots in those two lotteries. Absolutely brutal.
The ONLY thing you should be embarrassed about as a Nets fan, is if they traded 4 1st round picks for their own picks back and NOT end up picking top-5 in either draft. THAT would be embarrassing. Losing by 50-60 points right now does nothing to me. It'll be forgotten about.
