@yunaslarks@twizzlefloopz So there are athletic advantages gained on top of its intended function which those who don't have a TUE are unable to access. I'm not sure why you're so defensive about this topic, as it's the sort of thing that makes the marginal difference in sport. Or do you think the US is
@yunaslarks@twizzlefloopz I have ADHD and take medication. I've experienced the athletic advantages from amphetamines. Nothing wrong with ppl using it but the meds provide athletic advantages (per WADA) such as masking the body's natural signals of exhaustion, allowing athletes to push harder for longer.
@twizzlefloopz We'll never know how Amber and Alysa would perform against the rest of the field if they didn't train and compete with PEDs in their bodies that provide athletic advantages. But if you think all is fair, then good for you.
@twizzlefloopz I have ADHD + take medication for it so have a pretty good idea. I've read the scientific literature; you've not. There's no evidence that US skaters are using non-stim meds. You seem intent on defending the athletic advantages that are gained by anyone who takes amphetamines.
@_xiled@vmstagemom That's the thing with the American pleb. You just coalesce behind your athletes without any idea about the implications of that support. You're not even aware of how you support American exceptionalism.
@babobukin You're really that fucking stupid? You could really do with some of my British tissues to dry your tears. It will be a difficult life ahead with your intelligence levels.
@Linda28728141@tachycardial It's only using this TUE loophole. I think we would agree that ADHD doesn't only exist in America? I want everyone to compete under equal conditions.
