Media moved back into the rain by overbearing hotel security in Atlanta, who emphasized that we were on private property. We pleaded to be allowed closer to capture Bafana Bafanaβs arrival at the hotel as accredited media but this is the best we got.

Make SELLING an extra mural in schools.
Let kids be coached weekly on how to sell goods & services, fundraise, manage cashflows, market & build wealth.
The solution is as easy as this. If kids invested in selling as much as they do sports & social media, they would be rich.
Young ladies need to watch The Polygamist. Not for entertainment, but for the lessons hidden in plain sight.
Watch how people behave, the choices they make, and how those choices affect everyone around them. Too many young women believe they will be different or that things will work out differently for them.
A surprising takeaway from this scene: I-2k- the younger woman taking her ARVs, while the older man Jonasi who infected her rejects treatment for herbal remedies & slowly deteriorates. It speaks to evolving HIV awareness & the importance of science-led care. There's also an irony in Joyce's revenge. She had Jonasi infected because "I will never birth a child who becomes like you". Yet by the end, because Lindani adheres 2 treatment while Jonasi refused to, the story leaves open the possibility that Menzi may be spared the fate that ultimately consumed his father, despite sleeping with Lindani at the funeral. More than anything, it reflects how far South Africa has come in spreading life-saving information about HIV treatment, adherence & prevention. A generation raised with the message that HIV is managed through treatment, not denial.

Veteran Limpopo runner Johannes Mosehla has once again etched his name into the history books after becoming the oldest athlete ever to complete the Comrades Marathon, breaking his own record at the age of 84.
The Sekhukhune-born athlete successfully finished the 2026 Comrades Marathon, the grueling 85.77km down run from Durban to Pietermaritzburg in an impressive time of 11 hours and 12 minutes, comfortably beating the official cut-off time.
Mosehla, who represents the Polokwane Athletics Club, entered this year's race aiming to surpass yet another milestone after setting the record in previous editions of the world's oldest and largest ultramarathon.
In 2023, he became the oldest Comrades Marathon finisher, eclipsing the long-standing record set by legendary runner Wally Hayward, who completed the race at the age of 80 in 1989. Mosehla then extended his record by finishing the race at 82 in 2024 and again at 83 in 2025, when he completed the 89.98km route from Pietermaritzburg to Durban in 11:47:27.
Now, at 84, Mosehla has once again raised the bar, proving that age is no barrier to determination, endurance and excellence.
He was among the 864 athletes representing Limpopo in this year's Comrades Marathon and continues to inspire runners across South Africa with every stride.
His latest achievement further cements his legacy as one of the most remarkable participants in Comrades Marathon history.
