[ON AIR] Doctors Without Borders (@MSF) says it is concerned about the continuity of care for thousands of migrants in South Africa who are living with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and mental health disorders after fleeing their homes due to fears for their safety and threats to their livelihoods.
The humanitarian organisation says the priority is to ensure that those most at risk continue to access essential healthcare services, regardless of who they are or where they come from.
For more on this, @Lulu_Gaboo is joined on the line by Claire Waterhouse, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Emergency Coordinator.

But world leaders can, if they choose to act.

as in other cases, figures for #Gaza are distressing.
let’s also consider what numbers cannot fully capture: cases of harassment, high level of stress, fear stemming from intimidation or hate crimes.

what you see in maps is not what you get in reality:
“There are no features suggesting pre-colonial occupation of the area. Two sacred rocks, Pita and Kaku, are not present on the map. These are not simply blank spaces. They’re deliberate omissions.”

What do colonial maps tell us of how Juba was established? What do these maps show, and what do they hide? Closely studying them, Dr Brendan Tuttle reflects on Juba's creation by colonial authorities in the 1st half of the 20th century. #Juba#SouthSudan
