조국을 구한 은인의 돌기둥에는 침을 뱉고, 우리 조부모를 학살한 침략자의 나팔수에게는 미소를 짓는다. 이 기괴한 이념적 편식을 단순한 정치적 견해 차이라 부를 수는 없다.

��릴 적, 민주당을 향해 '빨갱이'라 혀를 차던 어른들을 낡은 매카시즘이라 비웃었던 나의 얄팍한 지적 허영을 뼈저리게 반성한다. 세월이 흘러 마주한 진실은 서늘하다. 어른들이 내뱉던 그 투박한 단어는 결코 맹목적인 혐오 표현이 아니었다. 은인을 모욕하고 침략자를 숭배하는 저들의 끔찍한 본질을 가장 정확하고 건조하게 규정해 낸, 완벽한 생물학적 학명(學名)이었다.

5.18 민주화 운동의 헌법 전문 수록을 왜 그토록 단호하게 반대해야 하는가. 이 근원적인 질문에 대한 가장 완벽하고 끔찍한 시청각 교보재가 광주 광산구 보궐선거판에 등장했다.

"미국의 광주 학살 음모."

구본기 후보의 유세장에 마이크를 잡고 등단한 백발의 사내가 내뱉은 이 기괴한 연설 한마디가 그 해답이다. 이 황당한 반미 음모론을 확신에 차 읊어댄 자는 다름 아닌 김민웅. 대한민국 권력 서열 2위인 김민석 국무총리의 친형이자, 좌파 진영의 정신병을 제대로 보여주는 인물이다.

이 한장의 사진 속에는 한국 좌파가 역사를 어떻게 인질로 잡고, 어떻게 오염시키고 있는지가 고스란히 담겨 있다. 그들에게 5.18은 무고한 시민의 피와 눈물이 서린 역사적 비극이나 민주화의 성취가 아니다. 80년대 주사파 시절부터 맹신해 온 낡고 병든 '반미 세계관'을 2026년의 대중에게 합법적으로 주입하기 위한 아주 편리한 숙주일 뿐이다.

그들이 '미국 배후설'이라는 허무맹랑한 삼류 음모론을 사실인 양 선동하는 것을 국가가 묵인하고 용인한다면, 역사의 논리적 방어선은 그 순간 완벽하게 붕괴한다. 상식적으로 생각해 보자. '북한군 개입설'이 광주정신 왜곡으로 처벌대상이라 한다면 이런 허무 맹랑한 '미군 학살 음모론'도 같은 잣대로 처벌받아 마땅한 것 아닌가?.

양쪽의 극단적인 음모론이 5.18을 먹잇감 삼아 뜯어먹고 있는데도, 정작 광주는 이 정신병적인 역사 왜곡 앞에 단호히 반대하지 못하고 침묵한다. 오히려 권력의 비호를 받는 좌파 외곽 단체들이 광주를 독점하며 이런 자들을 영웅으로 대접하고 있다.

이들이 5.18을 자신들의 이념적 방패로 삼아 헌법의 처마 밑으로 숨으려 하는 한, 5.18의 헌법 등재는 자유민주주의를 수호하는 것이 아니라 반미와 음모론에 국가 최고 규범의 면죄부를 쥐여주는 치명적인 자해 행위가 될 수밖에 없다.

무엇보다 우리를 진정으로 구역질 나게 하는 것은, 이 거창한 반미 투사들의 소름 돋는 이중성과 일상화된 위선이다.

마이크를 잡고 미국의 학살 음모를 부르짖으며 대중의 핏대를 세우는 자들의 삶을 들여다보라. 그들은 입으로는 미 제국주의 타도를 외치지만, 정작 자신들의 금쪽같은 자식들은 어떻게든 그 끔찍한 학살국가(?)인 미국의 심장부로 유학을 보내지 못해 안달이다. 자본주의의 단물은 가장 악착같이 빨아먹으면서, 대중 앞에서는 미국의 횡포를 규탄하는 완벽한 인지부조화. 미국에서 유학한 자식들이 미국 기업에 취직하면 가문의 영광으로 여기면서, 광장에만 나오면 반미 투사로 돌변하는 이 구역질 나는 민낯.

광주가 이 낡은 운동권 기생충들을 스스로 털어내지 않는 한, 5.18은 영원히 저들의 정치적 땔감으로 소모될 것이다. 국무총리의 형이라는 자가 백주대낮에 반미 음모론을 퍼뜨려도 묵인하는 정권 아래서 헌법 등재를 논하는 것. 그것은 숭고한 역사의 기념이 아니라, 낡은 이념의 사기극에 국가 헌법을 상납하는 짓이다.

이제 카메라를 여의도로 돌려보자. 우리의 위대하신 이재명 대통령은 최근 무엇을 하고 계셨나.

큰 거 온다며 호기롭게 중국 플랫폼 틱톡에 가입해 쇼폼 정치를 시전하셨다. 지지자들에게 친근하게 다가가겠다며 틱톡커로 데뷔한 그 가벼운 손가락. 그런데 하필이��� 그 타이밍에 미국에서 틱톡을 국가 안보의 적으로 규정하고 목을 치려던 핵심 저격수가 주한 대사로 발탁된 것이다.

이것은 우연한 해프닝이 아니다. 국제 정세의 거대한 지각 변동을 전혀 읽지 못하는 한국 좌파 권력의 지독한 무지와 안일함이 빚어낸 필연적인 코미디다.

워싱턴의 메시지는 서늘할 정도로 명확하다. 안보는 미국에 기대고 경제는 중국에 빨대를 꽂겠다는 그 알량하고 박쥐 같은 안미경중 기조를 이제는 끝장내겠다는 선전포고다. 공급망을 중국으로부터 완전히 분리(디커플링)하고, 미국 주도의 새로운 경제 안보 블록에 확실히 줄을 서라는 최후통첩이다.

과거 중국 대사 앞에서 두 손을 다소곳이 모으고 훈계를 듣던 이재명의 굴종적 궤적을 트럼프의 참모진이 모를 리 없다. 그래서 외교적 수사를 쓰는 관료 대신, 반공과 반중의 선명한 깃발을 든 충성파 행동대장을 서울에 꽂아 넣은 것이다. 딴짓하면 곧바로 백악관으로 직보하겠다는 서늘한 감시탑의 구축이다.

세상의 룰이 바뀌고 거대한 제국들이 피 튀기는 패권 전쟁을 시작했는데, 이 나라의 권력자는 여전히 스마트폰 카메라 앞에서 틱톡 필터나 고르며 대중의 도파민을 구걸하고 있다.

글로벌 외교는 방구석 사이버 렉카질이나 15초짜리 댄스 영상으로 돌파할 수 있는 만만한 틱톡 챌린지가 아니다. 중국 플랫폼에 올라타 큰 거 온다며 시시덕거리던 그 얄팍한 지성 앞에, 이제 진짜 거대하고 숨 막히는 미국의 큰 것이 들이닥쳤다.
