Sweden and the @WorldBankGroup are celebrating 75 years of partnership this year.

The World Bank is the single largest channel for Swedish development assistance and a key partner in poverty reduction, economic reforms and good governance in developing countries. Sweden’s overall support to Ukraine via the World Bank will total SEK 2.8 billion in 2026.

Yesterday, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade @BenjaminDousa received World Bank Managing Director of Operations Anna Bjerde in Stockholm for discussions on continued strong cooperation.

Sweden supports Ukraine via the @WorldBank. 🇸🇪🇺🇦

As winter approaches, Sweden is increasing its support to the World Bank’s Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF) by SEK 385 million. The fund makes it possible to address the most urgent needs and strengthen Ukraine’s resilience and long-term recovery.

Last week, @Benjamindousa took part in the Annual Meeting of the World Bank at which he met with the World Bank’s Managing Director of Operations @bjerde_anna.
