@_justthegems It feels like a very niche crowd tbh. A good entry pc computer for sure and very convenient and small form factor with no need to build it. Much more easier to maintain too. But for such a premium price upgrading down the line maybe desired as someone demands grows.
@KodakCoyote Debatable. Hardware is about right for its components and you do get a MiniITX build .
But CPU and GPU aren’t customizable so what’s really gonna make this worth it is the verification program making sure games are running smoothly as possible.
@DannyRayChamp@baileygobrr@InvestChess14@valvesoftware Optimization not gonna be an issue?? That’s been the whole issue for pc games . The whole point of this device is to let people have much more easier entry to PC. Just for gaming, windows is far more confusing than Steam machine.
Tried to build a pc close as similar spec to the Steam machine and it ended up being over. Would cost more for a mini ITX build. You could shift parts around but the price still be similar. Gaming unfortunately just expensive now. @valve#steammachine
@DannyRayChamp@baileygobrr@InvestChess14@valvesoftware I’ve used said budget pc lol. That’s not possible issues those were my issues. I’m not making that part up. But the point still stands you’ll get a cleaner more optimized experience for a similar price range then what you’re stating and you still have the freedom to put windows
@DannyRayChamp@baileygobrr@InvestChess14@valvesoftware Those are A pc I wouldn’t call those good lol. Unlike these pc, games are actually gonna be optimized for the steam machines.
If this is supposed to be the baseline, then yea an extra hundred dollar to not worry about Bios updates or windows bugging out is worth it.
@Potato_UwU68@SteamFrameOut I think someone said the Steam frame is gonna be cheaper than the Steam machine. Something about the type of ram is slightly cheaper I think
The PERFECT SCALP: we invest early in the Naruto TCG…but instead of selling the packs, we open them for the cards, invest in more singles, lab out a decent deck, win a prize card, then we sell it to a collector for even more profit!
Motherfucker that’s called PLAYING THE TCG
@TAGgrading you know I think be a great idea to tell us what average Beckett grades (9.5, 10, BL) and PSA (8,9,10) Grades are in TAG 1000 score. Because we know they have different standards and QC fluctuates. Would like to see how they go up against a 1000 TAG grade scale
@KITTVT@Pirat_Nation No. You’ll have to go into desktop mode. But the Steam controller does emulate keyboard and mouse really with their touchpads. So you’ll have a full desktop experience with some learning curves. There are some apps but their finicky and not official
