Think about where you were yesterday and what you have achieved since then. Think about today, where you can be tomorrow, and the actions required to get you there. Be honest in your reflections and realistic in your aspirations. You’ll enjoy the journey, one small step at a time
Huge thank you to @DoonAcad and especially to these legends in the social subjects department. I will remember these experiences and our conversations throughout my career. It’s been an insightful placement learning from these three excellent educators #doon#edutwitter
@MissHair_BICT @DoonAcad Thank you for your contributions to a great first placement experience for myself, Miss Hair. Really enjoyed my time learning from the staff at Doon!
Tomorrow marks my final day of placement at @DoonAcad As someone who grew up in the Doon Valley, making a return to the community in a professional capacity felt almost poetic. That poem concludes tomorrow, but my admiration for it will never conclude. There could be a tear shed.
Don’t compare yourself with other people, compare yourself with who you were yesterday. We are all on our own pathways and no two are ever the same. As long as you go to bed at the end of each day knowing you’ve gave everything you’ve got, you can’t be disappointed #education
Impostor syndrome is a paradox:
-Others believe in you
-You don't believe in yourself
-Yet you believe yourself instead of them
If you doubt yourself, shouldn't you also doubt your judgment of yourself?
When multiple people believe in you, it might be time to believe them.
Today’s been my toughest day on placement and potentially one of my toughest days this year. From the moment I woke up, very little has went right. Tomorrow is a new day and I’m hopeful it’ll be better than the one before it #edutwitter#pgde#placement#BounceBackNow
The thing I like most about the video is the energy and interactivity he brings. Explicit instruction isn't dull or stilted. It's dynamic, engaging and highly dialogic. And it gives students an amazing sense of achievement- look what you can do!
Newcastle fans creating a chant based on Saudi Arabia being richer than Abu Dhabi is a gift of a chapter opening for future books on globalisation and geopolitics.
