Let’s be clear. The terrible shooting in Colorado Springs this weekend is a direct result of the hateful and violent rhetoric that has been allowed to grow in this country. We must stand united with the LGBTQ+ community and speak out against bigotry everywhere we find it.
Thoughts and prayers will do nothing for the LGBTQ+ community and the victims of terrorism, gun violence, and hate. There was a long series of events and failures from multiple levels of government and unchecked hatred coming from Republicans that lead to this.
The untold story here is that it was the Left--in the main DSA chapters, members, and national--dropping people power to build out the ground campaigns in MT and KY. We made nearly 3 million texts in KY and a half million in MT. When we organize, we win.

Socialism is evolving every hour of the day and all attempts to arrest its progress but increase its power, accelerate its momentum and insure it triumph for the liberation of humanity throughout the world
But us socialists trying to help Democrats win must surely mean we're actually trying to take power or make the Democratic Party as the Republicans claim: "socialists", which would mean what? #MedicareForAll#HousingForAll#CollegeForAll#GreenNewDeal? How scary, if true.
Instead of silencing me and capping your @MoffatDems volunteer's activities before an important election maybe Dems should have went after whoever did the damn thing instead of just acting like the trauma suffered by volunteers is imagined... https://t.co/7ojePXNT66 bc u she won.
Arizonans want dark money out of politics.
Voters overwhelmingly passed a measure forcing any group or political party that spends over $50k on statewide races (or $25k on local races) to report donors who give more than $5k.
It passed with 73% of the vote.
The Colorado Dems really fucked up not letting @MoffatDems canvass for Frisch. #FailedCoupBoebert looks to be the winner by votes we could've garnered. Great job! Probs better that socialists in the party didn't get to talk about the economy...
🚨Elections are important, get out and vote today. No matter the outcome though we need to keep building power for working people on the job and way beyond. Join DSA today and help us build the democratic road to socialism 🚩: https://t.co/ITpec5klsH
This interview won't be a game of pattycakes like in mainstream media. If you watched our debate with @DennisPrager, or any interview we've had with a politician before, you know we always hold the powerful accountable! 👇 #ElectionDay#Midterms2022

The very moment a workingman begins to do his own thinking he understands the paramount issue, parts company with the capitalist politician and falls in line with his own class on the political battlefield.
Coloradans made it clear in 2018: we do not want slavery upheld in our state.
✨Involuntary prison labor is slavery.✨
It's unconstitutional, and it’s wrong.
Tell Governor Polis, AG Weiser, and @Colorado_DOC ED Williams: stop defending slavery NOW. https://t.co/H0hwQAfV0H
While the price of a bag of Snickers has more than doubled, Republicans want to give the Mars family, who became 44% richer during the pandemic and are now worth $106 billion, a tax break of up to $42 billion by repealing the estate tax. Yes. Trickle down economics is very scary.
DSA IC stands in solidarity with women and working class people in Iran as they bravely fight twin pressures of government repression against social movements organizing for change, and a maximum pressure campaign by the US.

Roosevelt, who morally is still in the jungle, says that “Murder is Murder” in denouncing the McNamaras and congratulating Burns, but murder is not murder when it is for capitalism, and killing is not killing when it is for capitalist profit
Oil prices today: $85.90 a barrel
Gas prices today: $3.85 a gallon
Oil prices in April 2010: $85.66 a barrel
Gas prices in April 2010: $2.85 a gallon
Gas prices are $1 a gallon higher than they should be because of Big Oil's greed. We need a windfall profits tax.
