Generally known for his great fielding skills, Azhar dropped quite a few catches in his career.

Here is an instant of him dropping probably the easiest catches of all twice in the match.

Earlier in the year, Azharuddin dropped two crucial catches of Mark Greatbatch in India's 1992 World Cup match against New Zealand in a game India lost due to poor fielding, where Greatbatch scored 73 and was dropped twice by Azharuddin, contributing to India's difficult tournament. 

Azhar also he dropped Saeed Anwar in the second innings of the Kolkata Test (1999) when Anwar was in single digits; Anwar went on to score an unbeaten 188, leading to an Indian loss.
