It’s easy to talk about UN values. But much more rewarding to live them. Today, along with @UNOPSWashington and @UNEP_NAmerica, we volunteered at @foodbankmetrodc, which gets food to the people in our area who need it the most.

What an honor it was to meet @MelissaFleming today! Her book and Doaa’s story are testaments to the harrowing journeys refugees go through everyday. By amplifying the voices of those who have suffered, we can understand the humanity behind the issues we talk about everyday.

Very cool that our stellar intern @mohanmsm03 got the chance to have his copy of "A Hope More Powerful than the Sea" signed by its author (and our boss!) in our office today. @MelissaFleming traveled from New York to DC this morning for meetings with the US State Department.

Our team was happy to participate in the 2023 Leadership Summit event organized by @UNAUSA to explain how the @UN engages with the US government and the American people. We were joined by @UNAIDS and @UNOPS.

The world is currently home to 1.2 billion young people. And our office works closely with 3 of them. Meet our interns - Julia, Mohan and Taylour - who are supporting the UN's work in Washington and helping us tell the UN's stories to the American people.
