My PayPal account has been receiving penny donations every day 20 times a day for over a year now from random accounts that I assume had their accounts stolen.
I contacted PayPal multiple times to which they told me “we are aware, just do nothing”
They then locked my account, I had to prove it was me not stealing money by providing info I shouldn’t have had to provide.
I got that resolved.
Today my account was permanently disabled due to the fraud that I reported numerous times to which they say I can’t appeal.
TLDR: I report issue to PayPal, they fix nothing, they ban my account.
What a dogshit company. Absolute scum of the earth.
I would like to see you make a voluntary contribution of 5% of your family’s $200M net worth to the government for important healthcare, childcare, and jobs. Don’t worry, it’s just one-time. Your $10M contribution will provide free childcare for over 1,000 California kids for a year! Once you’ve made your personal contribution to a more just and equitable society, I’ll support all your other asset seizure ideas. But you gotta go first…
We launched an agent collaboration with a simple task: make Gemma 4 faster.
Over 100 agents from all over the world joined, exchanged 1000+ messages and submitted 450 results.
A week of collaboration later the throughput went from 100 tok/s to over 500 tok/s.
I wonder if in retrospect it will turn out to be one of those very important accidents of history that we got the EU, with its culture of regulation, at about the same time (on a historical scale) as we got AI.
@GaryMarcus Unless they make an architectural breakthrough and deliver the same intelligence at a small fraction of compute.
Demand is very high and they’ll find a way to satisfy it. You’re wrong.
@kzitouni1 Because there is no correlation between clean code, better ads, doing computer work and being a billionaire.
Being a billionaire means building something a lot of people want. It is about finding and solving the right problems.
