Ooh, I'm so happy right now! Two people who genuinely seem kind and have beautiful souls have finally found each other.
So happy for Nkateko and Sza from The Ultimatum! Wishing them nothing but love and happiness. ❤️ 😍
any country where homosexuality carries a 14 year prison sentence will most likely also be extremely misogynistic. gay males there can hide their sexuality and oppress women with the straight males, but women can’t hide being female and are oppressed from the womb because of it.
Men are too lazy to advocate for themselves, they don’t even advocate for the boy child except as a gotcha to feminists.
So they recruit you, a compound fool to alienate your fellow women to fight their battles for them.
At the end of the day, a man is a man. He still walks through this world with male privilege. I am not guilt-tripping myself or auditing my boundaries to be a champion for men before women.
Exactly.
Being queer, gay, bi, or trans doesn't automatically stop someone from holding misogynistic beliefs or reinforcing patriarchy. Misogyny isn't limited to straight men. It's a set of ideas that people can learn, repeat, and defend, no matter who they are.
We've seen women shame other women for their choices. We've seen gay men make degrading comments about women. We've seen people from marginalized groups still expect women to put men's feelings before their own boundaries, that's why simply being part of a marginalized group doesn't mean someone can't harm women or push harmful ideas about women.
My singular addition to this discourse is that A MAN IS A MAN.
Queer oh. Homosexual oh. Bisexual oh. Pansexual oh, whatever the fuck he presents as, A MAN IS A MAN.
The absence of heterosexuality doesn’t immediately make a man different from other men. He is still a man!
And yes, a lot of you are starting to sound exactly like the straight men you claim you’re better than.
“Well, women refused to date us, so they deserve whatever harm comes from the men they choose”.
I believe one of the biggest threats to feminism today is a new form of pickmeism that presents itself as feminism.
Instead of centering women’s interests, autonomy, boundaries, and spaces, it prioritizes certain groups of men because those men are seen as marginalized in other ways. It then uses feminist talking points to pressure or shame women for having sexual boundaries, dating preferences, or other personal choices, rather than defending women’s right to make those choices freely.
I’ve also seen this rhetoric used to justify encroaching on women’s spaces and to decenter women in conversations that are primarily about women’s experiences and rights.
What makes this trend more concerning than traditional pickmeism is that it comes wrapped in feminist language. Because it sounds progressive, it’s often harder to recognize and harder to challenge. The consequences don’t always appear immediately, you often notice them only after the ideas have started influencing how people think about women’s boundaries, women’s spaces, and women’s autonomy.
If we’re not willing to question these arguments, I worry that they could gradually undermine hard-won gains that generations of feminists fought to achieve. Feminism should remain centered on protecting women’s rights and autonomy, not on using feminist rhetoric to persuade women to compromise them.
The "marginalized men" thing is making me laugh because even in the so-called oppression of men, they still look for women to take it out on.
Male refugees harm female refugees. Male homeless people harm female homeless people.
Even a few years ago, there was that case of those male prisoners in Congo who broke out of prison and the first thing they did was to break into the female prison and rape the female prisoners.
So please what's even the marginalization when women ALWAYS bear the brunt of their suffering?!
Portia you shot yourself in the foot the day you vented out to Qhawekazi thinking that she’s a girls girl
She was raised by a male centered witch ✋🏽✋🏽 Yooh I am pissed 😩😩😩
